What are cookies?
Cookies are small text strings exchanged between a site and the user's browser, whenever a website is accessed.
They are used to perform automatic authentication, to keep track of sessions, to store information to improve the browsing or the user's experience.
Each domain visited through a browser can set one or more cookies.
An Internet page may contain objects coming from other different domains each of which can set cookies (in this case called "third-party cookies").
The use of cookies improves the website browsing experience and can maintain the settings made during the next visit.
There are two types of cookies:
- first-party cookies: subject and readable only by the domain that created them;
- third-party cookies: subject and created by external domains.
Cookies used on this website
Browsing Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the website. Most of these cookies have a session duration, i.e. they are immediately deleted once the visit to the site is ended.
Functional Cookies
These cookies allow the functioning of some parts of the site.
Their purpose is to track the reading of the banner text related to the Privacy & Cookies Policy located on the homepage.
These cookies are stored internally within the browser; it is possible to cancel them or disable their reception, but this would mean the compromise of the functionality of certain services offered by the website.
The user can modify the cookies reception setting by changing storage settings as described in section "How to disable cookies" of this information.
How to disable cookies
Most browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) are configured to accept cookies.
All browsers however allow you to control and disable cookies through browser settings. Disabling browsing cookies can cause the malfunction of the website and / or limit the services offered.
For more information on how to manage and delete cookies from tablets and / or mobile phones, please see the "Help" section on the browser used.
It is possible to also manage third-party cookies that use user’s information to generate specific actions: you can manage the use by Google by visiting the Ads Preferences page (if you have a Google account).
You can also disable the use of cookies by a third-party provider by visiting the Deactivation page through the website www.youronlinechoises.eu , or instead, as described above, disabling cookies through the settings of your browser.
